In
late August, MPH Bookstores hosted a Hi-Tea with Local
Authors event at MPH in One Utama Shopping Center. In
a friendly meet-and-mingle atmosphere, the public were
invited along to meet up with their favorite local authors,
who numbered close to 50 at the event.
A
discussion forum was part of the day's agenda and the
topic being discussed was "The future of E-books
in Malaysia". Many authors and audiences voiced
their opinions on the impact of this technology on local
readers and authors, and on printed publications in
general.
Also
present was Datuk Ng, the CEO of MPH Bookstores, Madam
Zorra, Reggie Lee, Lim May Zhee and several well-known
local authors and publishers. Master Chang had the opportunity
to meet up with some of the more famous ones to exchange
notes and ideas on the book market in Malaysia.
We
truly enjoyed this opportunity to mingle with some of
the well-known names in the publishing industry and
would like to thank MPH Bookstores for the invitations.
